Jarek Rosinski

Jarek Rosinski is the founder and Chairman of Transmission Dynamics, an award-winning engineering and IoT technology company headquartered in Northumberland. After earning a PhD in machine dynamics, he began his career as a lecturer at the Institute of Mechanics and Vibroacoustics in Kraków.

In 1989, Jarek joined the National Gear Technology Centre at Newcastle University, where he established himself as an internationally renowned engineering consultant. Encouraged by the university, he founded Transmission Dynamics in 1996 and, after 18 years at Newcastle, left in 2006 to pursue the company full-time.

Under Jarek’s leadership, the company grew from a two-person consultancy into a globally recognised developer of cutting-edge diagnostic and sensing technologies. Their notable work spans a wide range of industrial partners, including Siemens, GE, BMW, Ford, Network Rail, the MoD, and NASA.

After many successful years operating from a converted shed in a Cramlington industrial park, Transmission Dynamics opened a bespoke £5m headquarters at ‘One Innovation Way’, Cramlington. Among its many accolades, the company was awarded the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category in 2025.

Jarek is a newly appointed Professor in Practice at Durham University’s Department of Engineering, where he supports the MSc in Engineering Management and shares his insights on how successful engineering businesses are built and scaled.
