Emer Maguire’s Bio

Emer Maguire is a Northern Irish comedian, musical comic, and BBC presenter known for her sharp wit and clever storytelling. A four-time TEDx speaker and award-winning science communicator, she blends humor and music to explore life’s quirks.

Her debut show, Emer Maguire: Hilarious Humans, sold out at Edinburgh Fringe 2019, and she has since performed at major venues across Northern Ireland, including the Ulster Hall and Grand Opera House, where she returns in 2025 with Notions.

A familiar voice on BBC Radio, Emer has appeared on BBC TV’s The Blame Game and is a team captain on the panel show Hot Takes.

Beyond comedy, she is a qualified speech and language therapist and patron of the Lancefield Private Autism Clinic, advocating for better support for the autistic community.
