Logistics

Here are some handy hints and tips to help you over the course of the conference.

When you register you'll be given your conference pass. Make sure you hold onto it for the duration, as you'll need it to gain entry to all sessions.

Travel & accommodation

The NewcastleGateshead Initiative has kindly booked out loads of rooms at various quality hotels in Newcastle. If you haven't already arranged yours, you can book here (prices start from around £80).

For those who like to live in the lap of luxury, we've also arranged a specially discounted rate at Seaham Hall & Serenity Spa. A 5* hotel and spa resort, it's just 20 minutes from Newcastle. Click here for more info.

Finding the venue

Thinking Digital will take place across two venues, just five minutes apart from each other. Two of the most stunning structures in the North East, you can find out how to reach them by clicking the links below.

Wed 21 May (workshops): when/where to register

Registration for the workshops starts at 11am and will be take place at The BALTIC Level 1. All workshops will begin at 2pm sharp. Please be sure to arrive by 1.30pm in order to sign in. Registration will close at 10pm.

You'll be sent confirmation of the workshop you'll be attending within the next few days. Click here to remind yourself of the workshop content.

Thurs 22 May:
when/where to register

The main registration on Thursday 22 will take place at The Sage Gateshead, and will open at 7.30am ready for a 9am start.

Between 5.30pm and 10pm the registration will move to the BALTIC for the Thinking Digital party.

Fri 23 May:
when/ where to register

The main registration on Friday 23 May will take place at the Sage Gateshead, and will open at 8am, ready for a 9am start. Registration will close at 5.30pm.

Networking

There will be plenty of opportunities to network and socialise with your fellow Thinking Digital delegates both on and offline.

Online: We've partnered with Backnetwork to bring you online profiling and networking for the conference. You should already have received your username and password, but contact vikki.carr@codeworks.net if you haven't.

During the conference: We hope Thinking Digital will be a great place to meet and share ideas with people from the UK and beyond. With this in mind, make sure you take advantage of the networking parties taking place on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

The Geek Dinner (sponsored by BBC & Broadmedia Technology)

Taking place at The Pitcher & Piano on Friday 23 May from 5.30pm the Geek dinner is a great way to close what is sure to be an action packed conference. Places are free but limited - so please sign up at The Information Desk (in the Expo and Leisure Hall) on either Thursday or Friday for the chance to attend.
